Everyone loves an Expo and at this years Groom Expo West, AGA had the pleasure of loving every day of the event!

AGA staff documented the expo with as many pictures as possible and had a great time meeting new groomers, business owners, and distributors. Many of our students attended this four day swaray and this month we are bringing you our favorite parts of the largest grooming expo in California!

We Shopped….a LOT!

American Grooming Academy students and Alumni save tips all year to break the bank at the expo. This year was no exception. With different vendors booths of all types, AGA encourages our students to try new things. AGA student kits come with some top of the line tools from West Coast Animal Groomers Supply Company in Temecula Ca. Gieb Shears, Oster blades are something our students are used too, but holding that first pair of 10 inch shears, pure magic for a groomer! Teaching our students that you are only as good as your products are, is important and there is no better place to try out new things than an expo. Holding shears, making sure that brush fits in your hand, and smelling that cologne everyone is talking about, makes our students not only more knowledgeable but more inclined to research and use new products in the future!

We made new friends and got to spend time with some old ones!

At AGA we encourage camaraderie between groomers, distributors and businesses alike. We believe that there are plenty of pets to go around so knowing and having a relationship with everyone involved in the pet industry is one of the greatest aspects of AGA. WAGS, American Grooming Academy’s  shampoo and student kit distributors are some of our favorites! Instructor Kat and Josh have a relationship that goes back years……. “He’s always there when I call him, I need this shampoo, I need this brush! Take my students on a tour! They are an integral part of AGA’s success!

Angela Clark also met with Linda Healy at the expo all the way from Minnesota. Linda Just started a web page dedicated to the grooming professional! http://www.canineapprovedgroomers.com/

In addition we also met with some potential students. Grooming Expos are not only for people already in the pet industry business but those looking for ideas, strategies, and or who are interested in gaining entrance into the field! President,  Angela Clark met with some amazing potential students a few of which have already started their Pet Styling careers with AGA!

Face it, we think we are students and alumni are the best, so we showed them off. Not only are our students better informed but they have successfully started some amazing businesses! We think our students have super powers, and to us they can groom better, and make better business owners according to the knowledge we teach and the moral values we instill! So this ones for you! All our wonderful students over the years that help make American Grooming Academy the success it is!
